| Alfred possesses over thirty years’ experience in front-line operation, internal change management, OD, management training & development, and management consulting, having held key positions in the Hutchison Whampoa Group, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, The Management Development Centre of Hong Kong, Poon Kam Kai Institute of Management of the University of Hong Kong, and the Hay Group. Over the last twenty-five years Alfred has worked on more than 300 organizational review, improvement and development projects with the Hong Kong Government, NGOs, and private organizations. Alfred is an Oxford University certified development adviser, assessor and internal verifier, holding an MBA and an MSc in Information Systems. He is also an ICMCI (International Council of Management Consulting Institutes) Certified Management Consultant (CMC). From 1995 to 2004 he was the only instructor certified by the creativity/thinking guru Edward de Bono for conducting both his renowned “Six Thinking HatsÒ” and “Lateral ThinkingÒ” Courses in the HKSAR. From 2003 to date Alfred has designed and led four strategic workshops (each 24 hours long) for enterprise owners and senior executives for the Institute for Enterprise of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, focusing alternately on general corporate strategy, enterprise leadership, organizational change and innovation. In 2000 Alfred was invited by the Employees Retraining Board to design and facilitate a strategic forum involving the chairman, deputy chairman, board members, senior executives of the Board and representatives of its over sixty supporting training organizations. He has also facilitated strategic deliberation for a number of local, regional and international organizations, including a Hong Kong department store chain operating in the Mainland; the Global Quality Division of Motorola; S. Megga Telecommunications Ltd., a telecommunications equipment manufacturer; and KPMG Malaysia. He is also a part-time tutor of the final module “Strategic Management” of the EMBA Program of Deakin University in Hong Kong (2004-2007). In addition to conducting training & development sessions and engaging in consultancy projects in Hong Kong, Alfred has been involved in management research, strategy formulation, change facilitation and senior management seminars in the Mainland (Wuhan, Chengdu, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen), Macau SAR, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia. |
