OVERVIEW

In pursuit of promoting & enhancing the level of excellence of international management practice, the International Institute of Management (IIM) continuously develop and offer competency strengthening educational programs for practicing supervisors, managers, executives, and professionals. This professional diploma program brings in international best practices in different aspects of management and offers hands-on opportunities for candidates to gain competence in applying these international best practices to their day-to-day people leading and problem solving work.

This state-of-the-art development program is developed and accredited by IIM, and implemented by the Academy of Management Consultancy (AMC). AMC is a reputable pioneer in management consultancy, corporate training, and higher education.

COURSE AIMS

The program aims to provide practicing supervisors/managers a learning framework and development environment to:

  1. Maximize the learned skills and capabilities of managers.
  2. Develop managers’ competence in applying advanced field-proven international management techniques and tools necessary for attaining the goals of their organizations.
  3. Gain insight from international best practices and develop innovative approaches through holistic, critical and creative thinking.

The program is designed for meeting the needs of those promoted to management level to competently fulfill their organizational duties. It also provides a solid foundation for those intending to gain an MBA degree from a recognized state university.

AWARD AND RECOGNITION

Upon satisfactory completion of this program (achieving prescribed level of competence in all the learning modules and submission of a satisfactory project/research report) graduates will be awarded a Professional Diploma in International Management.
Graduates are entitled to Associate Membership of the International Institute of Management (AIIM) by submission of completed application form and payment of due membership fees.

Graduates are also recognized as having met the entry requirements of the MBA programs of Bulacan and Tarlac State Universities of the Philippines, and through competency assessment may further gain coursework exemptions. Those gaining full exemption need only submit a research dissertation to earn their Master’s degree award.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

To be admitted to the program, applicants must have 3 years’ supervisory/managerial experience, AND must have completed their secondary school study.


COMPLETION TIME

The program is offered on a part-time basis with a total of 10 modules (each of 1 day duration held on Saturday for minimum work disruption) plus a mini-project report. The normal length of completion is about 18 weeks (10 weeks for classes plus 8 weeks for project research & report writing).

MODULAR & REVOLVING STRUCTURE

Due to the modular structure of the program each module constitutes an independent learning unit. The program is offered on a recurrent basis. This arrangement enables participants to join the program at any month, or choose to enroll individual modules and make up the balance modules at a later date when they decide to pursue their MBA degree.

TUITION FEE

HK$8,300 ($7,300 for IIM/HKCSMB members/employees of social enterprises & early birds)
or HK$800 per module/assignment ($700 for IIM/HKCSMB members)


COURSE STRUCTURE


LANGUAGE OF STUDY

The program is conducted bilingually in Cantonese and English, and the project report can be written in English or Chinese.
