Careers

There is only one form of career opportunity at the Academy. We only seek intelligent persons with the right mindset, coupled with a willingness to help others to do well in a form that can add 'real' value. You should have graduated from a leading university (ideally in business or liberal arts), speak several languages, grounded with several years of sales and operations experience with increasing level of responsibilities, and have seriously decided to be your own boss someday. You should be analytical, inquisitive, and hardworking. You must be and know that you are a winner.

You will first work and build your foundation at the headquarters or at a national franchise as a project coordinator. Should you do well and is promoted to a project manager you will work towards improving all aspects of basic competencies in management consulting. We will teach you how. The training, both on-the-job and in-class, will be tough and rigorous. You will go through training (on Saturdays and evenings) that would require you to teach others, including other consultants and managers much wiser than you. Following several years of intensive coaching, you will identify a management topic that you believe you would like to teach others in and work on independently to become one of the world's best. Should you succeed and become qualified as an accredited trainer, whom we called a "Certified Consultant-Trainer", you will then become a trainer of problem solvers. When you are able to bring in your own clients using our templates and diagnostic instruments, you may begin a discussion on how to form and set up your own franchise. This will take at least 5 years. Are you ready for such challenges?

There are certain people who will do well at the Academy. Those who are not afraid of challenges and changing the status quo, may do well here... but in the long run that is not enough. Those who seek quality may do well, but that alone is not enough. To be an effective change advocate one must strengthen his competence in problem solving at the management level, and of that, the ability to influence others who are in need. This is one basis of effective advocacy. We must have the ability to influence our clients and their stakeholders to embrace change which constantly pounds on the organization as surely as the morning waves. In the final analysis it is our clients who must lead their organizations out of harm's way. A professional at the Academy must be competent and should be a Certified Management Consultant and trainer because he or she would be a much stronger advocate of change... for that would be the basis of a professional company doctor.

In essence, to do well at the Academy requires the right attitude, attitude that is in line with our culture. There are no set degrees, no set exposure, and no job descriptions that cannot be changed. We seek winners, with the right positive attitude, for they must help others, not only themselves, to accept change and overcome it. To require anything less will not be fair to our clients.

Below is a list of values that the founders have been advocating. Should you find yourself believing in and operating with these values, do drop us an email at This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it, we would love to chat.

The Values We Hold Dear

The Academy has believed and operated with this set of principles since our establishment in 2004. Everything we do and decisions we make should be based on, and guided by these fundamental values.
  1. Making a difference by contributing leading management innovation, to the society and continually asking how management practices can be improved and be more relevant.
  2. Freedom to critique, to challenge and convince our colleagues and clients of our viewpoints based on sound and not biased reasoning.
  3. Obligation to our community, to help our clients, our students, and our colleagues become better citizens and potential leaders.
  4. Expectations that we believe in knowledge sharing, that knowledge can only increase when we share it. We share our knowledge with our clients by teaching them how to help themselves and cross-training is an integral part of our consultancy.
  5. Integrity and fair dealing: simply doing what we say we will do. Making sure everyone involved is dealt with fairly.
  6. The belief that excellence matters, and continual excellence and quality underpin everything we do.
  7. Teamwork without doubt. No exceptions! Loners will not survive here.
  8. Getting it done. All excuses aside, we will deliver as per our promise... always, and with impact if possible.
  9. Enhancing our client's governance integrity. Our deliverables should serve to sustain and even extend our client's market and position. Our client comes first.
  10. Lead with passion and professionalism. Underpinning everything we do is our passion for consultancy and the wish to raise professionalism to higher standards.

To the extent we act according to these values, we believe our Academy will continue to be a leader in our field of expertise and that our shareholders and employees will benefit from a healthy investment.
